Mind The Gap

I love the Tube. It's the most convenient and smartest way to travel. I wish we had something so easy back in Salt Lake. Sorry, but Trax will never compare to the Underground. When I first rode on it I was pretty intimidated. The maps are crazy, huge overlapping colorful lines, it looked like a bowl of spaghetti to me. From the beginning I was determined to get the hang of it though. I have now spent 2 weekends in London, running from one side of the city to the other. Just forcing yourself to be adventurous and daring is the best way to learn anything. We spent last Sunday just riding it all around and finding new spots and learning to read the maps. I can now tell you that I know the tube like the back of my hand. Well maybe not that well, but I can find my way pretty much anywhere.
The best part is standing on the platform when the train is approaching and hearing the little British voice say over the loud speakers "Mind the Gap", meaning don't fall between the platform and the train.
Oh how I love the Tube.
