Yay for HP!!

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I love everything about the books and the movies. Anddddd living in Great Britain only heightened my obsession. So this week is a very exciting one for HP fans all over the world because part one of the last movie is premiering at midnight on Thursday, or technically Friday morning. Caroline, Mason and I bought tickets to the 1 am show because we were a little slow. Anyways, here is a recap of the sweet Harry Potter things I have done in the past...

So for those of you who don't know, Harry Potter was all started in this beautiful city, Edinburgh, Scotland. JK Rowling was living here with her daughter after going through a horrible divorce. Everyday she would go sit in the Elephant House cafe and worry about her life and what she was going to do. She was broke and scared.

When she was sitting in the cafe she would look out the window facing the back and from there she could see two things, a school and a cemetery. This is the school...

While looking at it one day she thought to her self, "that looks like a school for witch craft and wizardry!" It really does right?? So she began to write a book about a boy named Harry who attended Hogwarts to learn to be a Wizard. As she wrote she realized she needed strong wizarding names for her characters so she decided what better way to find totally random names for a book than to stroll through an old grave yard and take names off head stones? So that's what she did.

Yes, there was once a real man named Tom Riddle who is now laid to rest in the Grey Friars Churchyard.

I stood next to his grave... Creepy right?

And this is the real Professor McGonagall.

There was also a Hermoine and a Dumbledore. Pretty cool right??

Now the books and movies are famous all over the world.

While in the UK I was also lucky enough to visit some famous HP hot spots such as..

Platform 9 3/4

The Leaky Cauldron, also known as the entrance to Diagon Alley

and the Millennium Bridge that gets destroyed by death eaters in the 6th movie.

I think it is safe to say that I Love Harry Potter!! And I can't wait to watch the 7th movie on Thursday night!!
