Moving Is Hard

Moving in New York is so much harder than in any other city. Not only are you carrying things in and out of the subway, but you then have to walk blocks and blocks before you event get to your building. Upon arriving at your new apartment you then have to jam into a tiny elevator with curious neighbors and struggle with the lock on your new apartment door. Every piece of furniture you move is another journey. I am lucky enough to have a roommate that owns a car. This helped immensely when it can to buying beds, couches, a table, etc. BUT.. parking is a joke!! I spent 2 hours looking for a parking space yesterday. Not very fun.

However, don't get me wrong, the back-breaking, mind-numbing, completely annoying move was worth every second of the pain. I am head-over-heals in LOOOOOVE with our new 18th story, lower Manhattan apartment. It's a dream come true for a twenty-two year old PR girl who loves the city. I (a little bit) feel like Carrie Bradshaw.

I'm apologizing now for the lack of blogging over these last (and next) few weeks. I am still living without internet. But it is kind of relaxing to go home at night and enjoy the company of my roommates or a good book. And a cup of tea, of course.
