Annie Bananie, my best friend
said we'd be friends to the very end.
When I was a little girl my favorite children's book was called Annie Bananie. Appropriate for a self-centered 6 year old. Like many picture books, the story is told in a poetic rhyme, about a little girl named Annie who has to move away from her best friend.
As a kid I was lucky enough to never have to experience a big move. The furthest I ever moved growing up was about 10 miles. I never had to kiss my friends goodbye, and I never had to deal with being "the new girl".
I was lucky.
Today my best friend moved away. Again.
Jaxon and I have lived apart from each other for the majority of our relationship. For some reason the universe just can't keep us together.
This morning I felt just like Annie Bananie, hugging my best friend goodbye and promising everything will be ok.
And it will, in time.
Sorry for the #emo post.
Feeling very thankful for the past 6 months.
